PARKING GARAGES COMING TO DOWNTOWN
Parking in downtown Redmond is getting a face-lift in a couple of ways. Many people are aware of the parking lot expansion at Evergreen between Seventh and Eighth streets, as well as the new parking lot being developed at Evergreen and Fourth. But the new idea is a little less visible: parking garages with designated parking for certain downtown apartments.

MISSION BUILDING OFFERS ONE-OF-A-KIND RESULTS
When Francis Senger started Mission Building in Bend in 2008, he was focused on completing the historic renovation of a home downtown. During the recession, he continued to take on historic remodeling projects and added some small commercial jobs. Before long, the business had found its niche in Central Oregon, as a company focused on bringing the custom renovation approach to all projects.

The nearly 5,000 square foot building used to be the home of Ranch Records, before the record store moved to 117 NW Oregon Avenue on January 1 of this year. Lark will occupy the bottom floor, totaling 3,000 square feet and including a mezzanine, beginning September 21. Upstairs, the Tower Theatre Foundation has occupied the offices since February.

Home decor store to open in downtown Bend
Francis Senger, of Mission Building and Renovation LLC, did the work. The job entailed more than the Letourneaus initially anticipated, Scott Letourneau said. The building needed extensive rewiring and replumbing to bring it up to code, his wife said.
“A lot of guys would have run the other way,” Karen Letourneau said. “He was all about it.”

GL Solutions software company plans to hire
The company in late March moved from the former Awbrey Butte Market to a second-floor space at the Bend Hardware Building, 856 N.W. Bond St., Burts said. Frances Senger of Mission Building and Renovation LLC, Bend, configured the 12,000-square-foot space for GL Solutions.
